This is my 4th 58 Plymouth.  I bought my 1st one about 6 years ago when I was a senior in high school.  It was a 2dr hardtop.  I also got a 4 door parts car which I stripped bare.  Well I call the scrap metal guy to pick up the 4dr parts car.  He #@$*! up and took my 2 dr HT.  I even have a pic of it with about 5 cars on top of it.  It was too late to save her.  I put an add in the local newspaper looking for another one.  A farmer called up and said he had one.  He said it was parked in the tree for the past 20 years.  I figured it was a junker but maybe had some good parts.  When I showed up he had the thing running.  It only had about 35000 actual miles on it and had all the service records.  It's last oil change was in 1976 and had only had about 500 miles on the odometer since then.  The farmer was the second owner.  1st owner was an elderly lady who bought it new and only drove it on Sundays and to get groceries.  She had an accident (dent in rear bumper) and her kids took the car away and sold it.  The farmer used it as a field car for a few months.  He let me have it for only $350.  It was cover in moss but was in great condition.  I drove it for several months until the rear engine seal went out.  I figured I rebuild the engine.  But when the machine shop measured it, all but one of the cyclinders were in mint condition.  They even said that I probably could get by with the cyclinder but I did want to take a chance.  I also bought another 4 dr parts car with all the hard to find trim and emblems from another farmer.  I got the entire car for $30.  Pics soon to come.

Adding sport trim from a belvedere.  Over $4000 invested in engine.  Getting ready for paint and new interior.  Getting lots of parts chromed.  Doing some mild custom work to engine bay. 5/20/04
