I purchased this car in October, 1999 from Larry Schau in Winnipeg, Manitoba and drove it the 1800 miles to San Antonio without any problem. The car is solid with no rust anywhere. Build date was Aug 22 in Los Angeles and was solid San Dune White with gold interior. I was susequently painted a brownish color and Larry had it painted red and white. Last year I stripped it to bare metal and had it painted white and black. The engine is correct number but has had the dual quad setup installed. I had a little mechanical work done to the engine and brakes, but the car is in very driveable condition. I would not hesitate just to get in it and drive anywhere. I had a 57 Plymouth and a 57 DeSoto Fireflite back in the late 50's and early 60's---we drove them hard and fast. The 57 Plymouth has been my favorite car since I saw the first one prior to their introduction in 1957.
